The hospitality sector in Ibadan, Oyo state capital recieved another entrant as SUBKEM Leading Hotel and Suites was officially opened on Friday.
Owned by Engineer Subomi and Mrs. Adebola Fale, the hotel with a unique structure promises quality services at affordable rates in a secure and conducive environment.
Located in New Garage, along Ibadan-Ijebu-Ode road, the hotel was part of the desire of Subomi and Kemi to expand their busines.
“We ventured into hospitality business beacuse of interest and at the same time to contribute to the socio-economic development of the state,” said Mrs. Oluwakemi Adebola Fale.
“Already we have SUBKEM leading entprises and we diversified into the hospitality sector as an addition. We are hopeful that this will give birth to another thing that will be beneficial to the society at large,” she added.
Speaking on the facilities and services, the General Manager of the hotel, Ologun Ibrahim, informed that the luxurious edifice is ready to set a new standard in the industry.
“SUBKEM leading Hotel and Suite is very unique. We plan to provide our guests with an unforgettable experience matched by our very high standards and fully-equipped facilities to even challenge those around.”
He continued: “it has a total of 51 rooms ranging from Royal Suites, Deluxe Studio and Executive Rooms for guests. Other facilities include well-designed ample parking space, 24hours electricity and room service, as well as Internet facility, Complimentary breakfast, open bar and restaurant, conference room and standard event center, among others.”
While unveiling the hotel, Oyo State Governof Engineer Oluseyi Makinde, represented by Hon Akeem Ademola Ige, Special Adviser on Tourism said the state is poised to create a conducive environment for hospitality sector to thrive.
Ige who commended the propietors for their genuine interest in developing the socio-economic of the state said the hotel is part of the testimony of Governor Makinde’s commitment to the development of Oyo State.
“In the last few months of this administration, we have witnessed a lot of development and this has, no doubt, been attracting both local and foreign investors into the state; this is one and I am sure more are still coming.”
Amb Wale Ojo-Lanre, Senior Special Assistant to the Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi on Tourism Development, who was also a guest at the event said: “This is one of the best things around. I have moved round and I can attest to the fact that the hotel is built for comfort and guests will have value for their money because the hotel’s services are excellent. It has good chefs that can prepare both local and continental foods. The hotel also have exotic wines, spirits and beers .
Guests at the historic event included, Sarkin Yoruba in Kano, Oba Muritala Alimi Otiseese; Engr. Mich Ale, President Borehole drillers association of Nigeria; Prince Sunday Adedayo; popular thespian and former president, TAMPAN, Prince Dele Odule and Mr. Yomi Fash Lanso, among others.
