The family of late former Gov. Abiola Ajimobi has commiserated with Sen. Teslim Folarin (APC-Oyo Central) over the death of his wife, Angela.
This is contained in a statement signed by Idris Abiola-Ajimobi, on behalf of the family and made available to newsmen on Saturday in Ibadan.
Angela, a legal practitioner, died on Friday afternoon inĀ UK.
Idris, who is the only successor to the late former governor, said that the death of the lawmaker’s wife called for fervent prayers for Ibadanland, Oyo State and Nigeria.
Abiola-Ajimobi condoled with the immediate family of the late legal practioner, particularly her husband and the entire Ibadanland.
The late former governor’s son said that Aunty Angela died at a time her husband needed her support, urging Sen. Folarin to accept the death as the will of God.
āMadam Angela was a great wife of Ibadanland. Her death came at the time her husband needs her support. I know her to be a good wife, a caring and dearest Sister.
āI therefore call on indigenes of Ibadanland and Oyo State as a whole to devote time for prayers for the State,” he said.
He recalled the recent death of former Gov. Adebayo Alao-Akala, Oba Saliu Adetunji,Ā Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Jimoh Oyewunmi, Soun of Ogbomoso and hosts of other prominent indigenes of the state.
āI condole with my Uncle, Sen. Teslim Kolawole Folarin on the demise of his wife. I pray God in His infinite mercies will comfort him and the family of the late wife,” he said.
