Ibadan Mogajis laud Adelabu for donating N1m to Ibadan Compound Peace Initiative

Family heads (Mogajis) in Ibadanland have lauded the gubernatorial candidate of Accord in the 2023 governorship election in Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Adelabu for donating the sum of one million naira to Ibadan Compound Peace Initiative.

 

The Mogajis said Adelabu donated the money when he visited them during their meeting held at Mapo Hall, Oja-Oba, Ibadan.

 

A statement jointly signed by the President, Association of Ibadan Mogajis, Chief Asimiyu Ariori and the Coordinator of Ibadan Compound Peace Initiative, Mogaji Nurudeen Akinade noted that the contribution would assist them in their efforts to tackle security challenges in Ibadanland and its environs.

 

They said the commendation become necessary because of Adelabu’s gesture towards security in Ibadanland, adding that it has nothing to do with politics.

 

The Mogajis however urged stakeholders, good minded people, sons and daughters of Ibadanland to also contribute their own quota towards the development of Ibadanland which according to them is the pace setter and political capital of the Southwest region.

 

The former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Deputy governor who was accompanied by the Director General of his campaign organization, and the Aare Onibon Balogun of Ibadanland, Chief Adegboyega Adegoke, earlier described him (Chief Adelabu ) as the most qualified gubernatorial candidate in Oyo state due to his antecedent, entrepreneurship and philanthropical gesture.

 

Also with Chief Bayo Adelabu were Oyo South Senatorial candidate of Accord , Idris Kolapo Kola-Daisi, Ibadan North Federal House Constituency Candidate Hon Arisekola and Chief Wasiu Ajimobi among others.
