The Oke Odo Club, an affiliate of Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) on Saturday congratulated former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Chief Adebayo Adelabu over his appointment as one of the Ministerial nominees recently picked by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
They stated that Adelabu deserve the appointment considering his pedigree and anticendent in public and private sector.
A statement jointly signed by the President, Elder Kolawole Olawale and General Secretary of the club, Sikiru Adisa noted that Adelabu, if eventually giving portfolio would use his experience in banking sector to revive the economy of Nigeria.
The statement hailed President Tinubu over the choice of Adelabu in Oyo State, saying Tinubu has put the round peg in round hole.
“It is not a misplace priority appointing Adelabu as a Minister, we believe he would perform well and will not disappoint us in pushing renewed hope agenda of President Tinubu.”
“Ibadan is bless with illustrious sons and daughter who are doing great exploit in their various fields, we are the pace setter state, we lead and others follow, we are happy with the choice of Adelabu.”
The statement however prayed for successful tenure for Adelabu, adding that Tinubu will not regret for appointing him as one of his Ministers.
