Adedoyin Congratulates New Soun-elect of Ogbomoso, Lauds Gov Makinde

Oyo State House of Assembly Majority Leader, Prince Sanjo Adedoyin, has congratulated Prince Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye, the new Soun-elect of Ogbomosoland.

In his congratulatory message, Adedoyin commended the choice of Prince Ghandi Olaoye, which was made by the Ogbomoso’s kingmakers after due process, according to the town’s customs and traditions.

The second term lawmaker representing Ogbomoso South lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for approving the appointment of Prince Olaoye to be the next Soun of Ogbomosoland.

He described the choice as a round peg in a round hole considering what he described as the quality of the new Oba-elect’s personality as a very educated and well exposed man with a network of friends and associates across the Nigeria and abroad both in the private and public sectors.

“Let me cease this opportunity to appreciate His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. ‘Seyi Makinde for approving the appointment of Olaoye to be the next Soun of Ogbomosoland.

“I congratulate the king elect, the leaders and elders in Ogbomosoland, Ogbomoso Parapo Worldwide, Ogbomoso Descendants Development Association, Ogbomoso Consultative Council and the entire sons and daughters of Ogbomosoland for the dawn of new beginning.

“I pray for successful ruling that will usher in accelerated growth and development for the land of valiants and Oyo State as a whole”, he said.

Prince Ghandi Olaoye’s appointment was approved by the Oyo State Government on Thursday after long-drawn processes specified under the law.

He will be presented with staff of office later by Governor Seyi Makinde.

Olaoye from Baiyewuwon ruling house in Ogbomoso succeeds to the throne which had been vacant in the last 21 months since the passage of Oba Jimoh Oladunni Oyewunmi, Ajagungbade III.
