The Caretaker Chairman of Ife-South Local Government Area, Honourable Muyiwa Aroke has assured his people that, Ifetedo will not be left behind in the scheme of development under the current administration in Osun State.
Honourable Aroke stated this at a crucial discourse during a reception at Ifetedo Civic Centre, organized by the Ifetedo Progressives Union (IPU NATIONAL), to call the attention of various illustrious indigenes of Ifetedo to challenges facing the town in terms of development.
The Royal Father of the day, Olubosin of Ifetedo Kingdom, Oba Oyetade Akinrera Latiri I, charged various illustrious indigenes of the town on steps to intensify the pace of development in the town, especially through provision of basic amenities for the benefits of the populace.
The President of “Ifetedo Progressives Union (IPU NATIONAL) RT REV’D Albert Adepoju highlighted issues such as; Education, youth unemployment, irregular power supply,poor road network,as important issues that require urgent attention of Ifetedo indigenes, especially the political office holders.
In response to this, Honourable Muyiwa Aroke revealed that his caretaker administration at Ife-South Local Government Area, has compiled names of youths in the area for employment by the Local Government under “Aro Corps”,also working in line with due process to make sure Ifetedo gains from the current “Teachers’ Recruitment” process by the state government.
Aro added that efforts is in top gear to begin the construction of 1.5 kilometers road in Ife-South Local Government Area by the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State.
In his remark, Honourable Niyi Owolade assures the gathering that he’ll work with every stakeholder both home and abroad to bring the desired progress to Ifetedo.
Earlier, Oba Oyetade Akinrera Latiri I commended the efforts of the Caretaker Chairman in reviving the dwindling fortune of popular “Egbejoda” market Bolorunduro Ifetedo.
Other leaders of thoughts present at the event called on all indigenes of Ifetedo to work in unity for the progress of the town, regardless of differences in political affiliation.
