Oyo APC Chieftain, Akinlabi Expresses Grief Over Omodewu’s Demise

Chief Akinyemi Akinlabi, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has expressed deep sorrow and shock over the demise of the party’s State Chairman, Chief Isaac Omodewu.

This is contained in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Ibadan.

Akinlabi, a former Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, said that
Omodewu’s demise has left the political
landscape of Oyo State in profound grief.

He described the late Omodewu as a committed leader who dedicated his life to the service of the party and the people of Oyo State.

Akinlabi said that late Chief Omodewu’s tenure as the State Chairman was marked by his unwavering loyalty, determination and a deep sense of responsibility to the growth and unity of Oyo APC.

He said that his contributions to the party and the state’s political development would forever be remembered.

“As the APC in Oyo State comes to terms with this great loss, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Chief Omodewu, the APC members and the entire people of Oyo State,” he said.

Akinlabi prayed that God grant them the strength and fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.

He, however, called on all APC members and the people of Oyo State to honour Omodewu’s legacy by working towards the unity, progress, and success of the party, which he so passionately upheld until his last breath.
