Hon. Olayinka Faniyi, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has expressed great grief over the death of the party’s Chairman, Chief Isaac Omodewu.
This is contained in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Ibadan.
Faniyi, an aspirant in last House of Assembly election said that
Omodewu’s death has left the political landscape of Oyo State in great grief.
She described the late Omodewu as a respected and committed leader who dedicated his life to the service of the party and the people of Oyo State.
Faniyi added that late Chief Omodewu’s tenure as the State Chairman was marked by his unwavering loyalty, determination and a deep sense of responsibility to the growth as well as unity of Oyo APC.
She noted that his contributions to the party and the state’s political development would forever be remembered.
“This is a great loss to us, but who are we to question God. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Chief Omodewu, the APC members and the entire people of Oyo State,” she said.
She prayed to God to grant the family the strength and fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
She, however, charged all APC members and the people of Oyo State to honour Omodewu’s legacy by working towards the unity, progress and success of the party, which she said he passionately upheld until his last breath.
