Olubadan to Launch Security Outfit, Food Initiative to Drive Ibadan Development

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, is set to commission a community security outfit, ‘The Ibadan Guards’, and a food drive, ‘Gaari Ibadan’, an initiative aimed at boosting security and economic growth and development in Ibadanland.

The initiative is part of the monarch’s efforts towards ensuring sustainability and development in the ancient city.

According to Committee in charge of the event, the commissioning of the security outfits code named “Ibadan Guards” is expected to enhance security in Ibadanland, with the outfit collaborating with other security agencies to combat crime and criminalities.

The initiative has been welcomed by stakeholders, who praise Oba Ladoja for his vision and leadership.

The Committee said Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, a seasoned leader with a background as a successful businessman, former Senator, and former Governor, has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the development of Ibadanland.

“This latest initiative is seen as another step towards achieving his vision for the region.”,

The Committee hailed Oba Ladoja for his efforts, describing him as a champion of progress and development.

“The Ibadan Guards’ will work closely with other security agencies to ensure Ibadanland is safe and secure.

“Gaari Ibadan which was an initiatives of Olubadan Committee on Economic and Investment under the Chairmanship of former Minister of trade and Investment, Olori Chief Dr. Onikepo Akande (OON) and co chairman and Former head of Service of the Federation, Prof. Dapo Afolabi (CFR) among other prominent sons and daughters of Ibadanland who are committee members along with the other initiative being commissioned, aims to address hunger and alleviate suffering among the poor and less privileged in the ancient city.

This move is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of Ibadan residents.

The commissioning of ‘The Ibadan Guards’ and Gaari Ibadan which was heavily assisted and worked upon by the Baales of Ibadanland under the leadership of Baale Olunde Ige , F.D Ige is seen as a significant milestone in Oba Ladoja’s efforts to drive development and growth in Ibadanland.

The event is expected to bring together prominent individuals, including traditional leaders, government officials, and community stakeholders, to witness the commissioning of these important initiatives.
