A Governorship aspirant in Oyo State, Kunle Olatunji, has extended warm felicitations to Christians across the state and beyond on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration, urging citizens to embrace love, empathy and prayer as essential values for societal growth and development.
In a statement released through his Media Team, Olatunji joined the Christian faithful and people of goodwill worldwide in commemorating Easter, which marks the end of the Lenten season and symbolizes the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He noted that the Easter season serves as a profound reminder of God’s immeasurable love for humanity and the ultimate sacrifice made for the redemption of mankind.
According to him, “Easter offers us a unique opportunity to reflect on the teachings of the Holy Scriptures, especially the virtues of love, sacrifice, compassion, and unwavering faith. These values should be evident in our daily interactions and relationships within society.”
