A leading 2027 Oyo Central Senatorial District aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Alhaji Ademola Wasiu Alli, popularly known as AWA, on Friday inaugurated grassroots political coordinators in 11 Local Governments and 118 wards to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election and his ambition bid.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held in Oyo town, Alli said the initiative was aimed at ensuring total victory for the APC in the 2027 general elections.
He noted that AWA Grassroot Mobilization Network is to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure and mobilize support for Tinubu’s second-term bid as well as for APC candidates across all levels in Oyo Central Senatorial District.
“We know that campaigns have not really started, but tomorrow starts today,” Alli said. “What we are doing now is to put in place our structure across the 11 Local Governments and 118 wards in Oyo Central Senatorial District.
“We will work to ensure APC’s victory in 2027. I want to state this unequivocally: that I believe absolutely in President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. This is not mere political alignment. I have studied its provisions on economic diversification, agricultural modernization, infrastructure renewal and social investment. I have seen how these frameworks transform lives when driven by competent representation.
“The Renewed Hope Agenda is the blueprint for national rebirth. It calls for effective representation and credible leadership at every level. My aspiration is born from the desire to contribute meaningfully to this national transformation to ensure Oyo Central fully benefits from its policies and opportunities..
He reaffirmed his intention to contest the Oyo Central Senatorial District election in 2027 and pledged his continued loyalty to the APC, assuring that he would complement Tinubu’s good works.
The APC chieftain expressed confidence that President Tinubu’s economic policies were beginning to yield results.
In his goodwill message, the Director-General of AWA for Senate campaign, Mogaji Bolatito Akinyemi, commended Alli for his grassroots mobilization efforts.
Akinyemi called for maximum support for Alli to emerge as the party candidate in Oyo Central Senatorial District, adding that he is the best man for the job.
Also speaking, former Oyo East Local Government chairman who doubles as the chairman of the apex leadership of AWA campaign, Hon. Ayodele Amuda, lauded Alli’s inclusive approach and encouraged members to work in unity for the success of the APC, saying “It is time to work. We are not going to work only for President Bola Tinubu; we will also work for Dr. Ademola Wasiu Alli and all the party candidates”.
