Frontline governorship aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, has congratulated Hon. Shina Peller and other candidates who emerged through the party’s consensus arrangement ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Olajide Odidiomo’s congratulatory message followed a stakeholders’ meeting chaired by Oyo state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, where party leaders adopted consensus candidates across various constituencies in Oyo North senatorial district.

It will be recalled that Governor Makinde had, last month, directed stakeholders across the different zones of the state to conclude consultations on consensus candidates in their respective areas, noting that all nominations would be ratified by April 15, 2026.

In a statement signed by the two term PDP lawmaker and made available to newsmen, by his Special Adviser, Media and Public Affairs, Tolu Mustapha, Olajide described the emergence of the candidates as a strategic step towards positioning the party for electoral success in 2027.

Olajide commended the leadership of the party and stakeholders for embracing dialogue and consensus in arriving at the choice of candidates for the federal constituencies in the zone, including, Hon. Shina Oyedeji O’Shine, Hon. Biodun Oni and Hon. Adeniyi Adebisi, all from the Oke-ogun zone of Oyo North senatorial district, noting that the approach would reduce friction and enhance the PDP’s chances at the polls.

He urged the candidates including the already ratified house of assembly candidates from the Ogbomoso and Oke-ogun to justify the confidence reposed in them by remaining committed to the ideals of service, unity and development, while also calling on party members to rally support for all consensus candidates.
