Former NTA Ibadan Zonal Director, Nike Olufade is Dead

A former Zonal Director of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Ibadan Network Centre, Mrs Adenike “Nike” Olufade, has reportedly passed away.

Olufade, a veteran broadcaster and administrator, was a prominent figure in the Nigerian television industry, having risen through the ranks of the NTA to occupy several key positions during her career.

She served as Zonal Director of the NTA Ibadan Network Centre and subsequently held similar senior responsibilities in other NTA stations before her appointment as Executive Director, Marketing, of the authority.

She was also the pioneer General Manager of NTA Ijebu-Ode and served as General Manager in Abeokuta, Lagos (Channel 10) and Ado-Ekiti, according to records of her career.

As Executive Director, Marketing, Olufade was responsible for co-ordinating the marketing activities of the NTA across its numerous stations nationwide.

Beyond broadcasting, she was also active in professional circles, particularly in marketing. In 2020, she was elected a council member of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), where she pledged to contribute to the development of the institute and the professional capacity of its members.

Olufade was widely regarded as an experienced marketing and broadcast professional. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, and also held master’s degrees in Business Administration and Peace and Conflict Studies.
