At exactly 7:00 am., as the morning sun slowly broke over the capital city of Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, a long, surging convoy departed the Adeoyo residence of Honourable Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide Odidiomo, in Ibadan, signaling the onset of an epic 80 hour political safari across Ibarapaland. Snaking through the rolling agrarian countryside, the motorcade journeyed directly into Igangan in Ibarapa-North Local Government area, where Odidiomo was swept into the enthusiastic arms of Hon. Dr. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju (Ibarapakan) alongside key political stalwarts of the Allied People’s Movement (APM).

Without pause, the delegation joined hundreds of faithful for the 8th day fidau prayer for the late Grand Chief Imam of Iganganland and President of the League of Imams and Alfas in Ibarapaland, Fadhilat Sheikh Alhaji Abdul-Azeez Fasasi Orimadegun, offering solemn supplications before launching into a high energy series of grassroots strategy sessions with APM faithful across Igangan, Ayete, and a pivotal roundtable with the League of Imams.

The political momentum swelled on Friday, the 9th of October, 2027, when Odidiomo moved his campaign train to the commercial and historic heart of Ibarapa-Central. Walking with thousands of grassroots voters, the lawmaker spent hours treading market pathways, listening intently to the struggles of market men and women across Igboora, before joining muslim worshippers for Jum’at prayers at the Igboora central mosque. From the holy grounds, Odidiomo led a colorful procession to the palace of the Olu of Igboora, Oba Jimoh Titiloye, where he received traditional royal blessings for his mission to represent Oyo South Senatorial District in the Senate under the banner of the APM in 2027. He capped the day with a joint town hall with the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) and the Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), leaving civil servants and retirees spellbound by his deeply empathetic, people first agenda.

By Saturday, the entire city of Igboora erupted in cultural ecstasy as Odidiomo joined local residents and international visitors at the World Twins Festival. Moving through the colorful, cheering crowds as a man of the people that he is, the senatorial hopeful seamlessly fused cultural pride with political vision, holding strategy sessions with APM party members while assuring the populace that Ibarapaland’s unique tourism and agricultural assets will form the bedrock of his legislative mission. His charismatic presence across every quarter of Igboora energized the grassroots, reassuring voters that his pursuit of the Oyo South Senatorial seat is a mission born out of genuine passion for equitable development and economic emancipation.

The marathon tour reached an inspiring crescendo on Sunday at the Rev. Longley Memorial Methodist Cathedral, Oke-Agogo, Igboora, during the 2nd Annual Diocesan Harvest of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Ibarapa Diocese. Delivering a compelling address on the event’s theme, “Harvest of Fruitfulness,” Odidiomo issued a passionate clarion call for the Federal Government to urgently confront the infrastructure deficit and security challenges plaguing the region, demanding the revitalization of the Igangan Grazing Reserve, the reinstatement of federal security presence lost after the removal of the Lanlate Army barracks, and the restoration of telecommunications infrastructure.

As the historic 80 hour consultation came to a close, Odidiomo left Ibarapaland completely electrified, cementing his standing as the candidate of choice under the APM and proving that true legislative leadership is built on total dedication, accessibility and selfless service to the people.
