The Aare Bashorun Parakoyi of Ibadanland, Chief Dr. Tony Aletor, mni, JP has joined prominent Ibadan indigenes to felicitate the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba. Sen. Dr. Mohood Olalekan Ishola Balogun, Alli Okunmade II on his installation as the 42nd Ibadan monarch by the Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE.
In a release personally signed by the Aare Bashorun Parakoyi of Ibadanland and Chairman, Capital Express Holdings Ltd, he described the ascension of the First Class Monarch to the exalted throne of his forebears as a blessing to the entire people of Ibadanland. According to him, “I am happy to associate with eminent sons and daughters of Ibadanland on the installation of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Sen. Dr. Mohood Olalekan Ishola Balogun, Alli Okunmade II as the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland. It is no news that Kabiesi’s experiences in academics, politics, governance, business and tradition stand him out as a blessing to Ibadanland. I am convinced that our revered monarch who has traversed all walks of life as an academic, politician and an Ibadan High Chief who rose through the ranks to become the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland, will bring his wealth of experience to bear in moving Ibadanland to greater heights.”
Speaking further, the business mogul who was installed as the Aare Bashorun Parakoyi of Ibadanland by the late Oba Dr. Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Ajeoguguniso 1 called on all Ibadan indigenes and friends of Ibadan to rally round the new Kabiyesi for his vision for a better Ibadanland to come to fruition. “May Ibadanland continue to be peaceful, stable and prosperous”, he prayed.
Meanwhile, the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), an umbrella body of all associations and clubs of Ibadan Indigenes as well as the face and voice of all Ibadan indigenes, in appreciation of the contributions of Chief Dr. Tony Aletor to the CCII and Ibadanland is to confer the 2022 MOST OUTSTANDING FRIEND OF IBADANLAND AWARD (MOFI) on him as part of the Ibadan Cultural Festival Week Celebration 2022.
The programme will have eminent sons and daughters of Ibadanland in attendance with the royal presence of His Imperial Majesty.
