Aare of Ibadanland Congratulates Olubadan on Appointment as Chairman of Oyo State Traditional Council

The Aare of Ibadanland and the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, His Eminence Alhaji Dawud Makanjuola Akinola, has congratulated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja Arusa 1, on his appointment as Chairman of the Oyo State Council Of Obas and Chiefs.

In a statement released through his Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Faysol Oluwakemi, the Aare expressed his profound appreciation to His Excellency, the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde for fostering unity among the traditional institutions of the state.

According to the Aare, the gesture demonstrates Governor Makinde’s commitment to ensuring collaboration and harmony across Oyo State’s rich cultural and traditional heritage.

The Aare also commended His Imperial Majesty, Alaafin of Oyo, and His Imperial Majesty, Soun of Ogbomoso, for their wisdom and agreement that the rotational leadership of the Oyo State Traditional Council begins with the Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Such consensus, he noted, reflects the enduring spirit of solidarity, respect, and unity among the Yoruba traditional institutions.

Furthermore, His Eminence Aare Makanjuola Akinola recognized the collective dedication of all Obas and Chiefs in Oyo State, whose unwavering love and commitment continue to foster the growth, peace, and development of the state.

He concluded that this appointment is a testament to the Olubadan’s wisdom, leadership, and experience which will ensure the stability of the newly inaugurated Oyo State Council Of Obas and Chiefs. .

His Eminence noted that this is another reward for the Olubadan’s previous and precious dedication to the good people of Oyo State and pray for divine guidance for the Olubadan as he leads the council in promoting peace, unity, and progress for all.
