Ajanaku Felicitates Oba Rashidi Ladoja At 80, Says He’s More Solid Than Rock of Gibraltar

In celebration of a life that has become a beacon of hope and strength, notable Ibadan businessman, socialite and politician, Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku, has joined multitude of well-wishers to felicitate His Royal Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his 80th birthday.

He described him as a man whose legacy stretches beyond the horizons of Ibadanland, Oba Ladoja’s influence as a former governor of Oyo State, political leader and revered royal father remains unmatched.

Otunba Ajanaku, in a heartfelt tribute, described Oba Ladoja as a man whose resilience and divine protection have made him “more solid than the Rock of Gibraltar.” According to him, the octogenarian monarch embodies leadership in its most genuine form—an unwavering guide for both the privileged and the less fortunate, whose life is a testament to God’s enduring grace.

“I struggle to find the right words to honor you, Kabiyesi,” Ajanaku expressed with evident admiration. “You are a leader who not only shares your platform but offers your goodwill to younger generations, giving them the opportunity to realize their dreams. You give strength to the weak and voice to the voiceless, and in a world often driven by self-interest, you consistently stand for truth, no matter the cost. This consistency has made you dependable, trustworthy, and respected across the spectrum.”

Reflecting on Oba Ladoja’s multi-faceted accomplishments, Ajanaku praised him for his remarkable journey as a businessman, his exemplary service as a former governor, and his current reign as a traditional ruler. “As a businessman, you’ve been nothing short of successful; as a governor of our dear Pacesetter’s State, your leadership was outstanding; as a political leader, you’ve been exceptional. And now, as a royal father, you are classical in your wisdom and advice, which serve as guiding lights for the people of Ibadan and Oyo State.”

For Ajanaku, Oba Ladoja’s personal qualities elevate him beyond mere achievements. His contentment and integrity, Ajanaku noted, have set him apart from others whose greed leads to exploitation. “Your contentment has no equal, which is why God continues to shield you with health, strength, and vitality—even more than those who seek to mortgage our future for personal gain. Your presence in my life, showing up at my most important moments, providing me with your support and your strong shoulder to lean on, distinguishes you as not just a leader, but a father par excellence.”

As Oba Ladoja celebrates this milestone, Ajanaku offered a prayer for continued divine protection and fulfillment. “At this tender age of 80, Kabiyesi, my greatest wish for you is that God grants you all your heart’s desires, allowing you to witness their fulfillment in your lifetime. Your reign has been a blessing to us all, and we pray it continues to be a source of peace and guidance.”

This tribute to Oba Ladoja is not just a reflection of his storied past but a recognition of his enduring impact—a man whose life is woven into the fabric of Ibadanland and whose wisdom will continue to shape the future of generations to come.
