Professor Adeolu Akande, Chairman Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has expressed shock over the death of the former Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, describing him as an astute politician, political leader whose heart was full of compassion for the people.
While sympathizing with his immediate family, the good people of Ogbomosholand, his political associates,APC members and the entire people of Oyo State, he urged them not to be despondent as the ex- governor died a fulfilled man with enviable accomplishments worthy of celebration.
“It may not just be a coincidence that Otunba’s transition came almost immediately after that of great monarchs who joined their ancestors very recently- the Soun of Ogbomosho and the Olubadan of Ibadan, but rather a devine attestation to his kingly stature and unarguable greatness while with us”
“May God and the heavenly angels accord his soul a befitting reception, forgive his shortcomings and fortify those left behind”, the statement added.
