A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state, Hon. Akinwale Akinwole, has said the former Governor of Oyo state will be remembered for his incurable generosity, humility and statesmanship who contributed greatly to the advancement of Ogbomoso, Oyo state and Nigeria at large.
Akinwole said there is no doubt that Otunba Akala lived fulfilled and impactful life and died as hero and a role model.
The Ogbomoso born entrepreneur who lamented the death of the former governor said’ I was short of words when i recieved the news of his death, though death is inevitable but his own came at a time when we least expected.
He maintained that “Otunba Alao Akala was like my biological father and mentor, he was part of my early political journey in Ogbomoso and i learn a lot from him especially his openness, generousity and accommodating spirit.
“I cannot forget in a hurry how he tutored me on effective governance and how to make positive impact in peoples live through politics, the culture which has further encourage me to do more for humanity and be deeply involved in how my constituency is being governed.
“Apart from being friendly, the former governor was indisputably one of the most gracious politicians in Oyo state who history will be kind to as one who came, saw and conquered.”
While he prayed for the repose of his soul, Wolekanle as he is fondly call, request that God should grant his family, political associates and the entire Ogbomoso people the fortitude to bear the loss.
