A Federal Character Commissioner Designate, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye MDII has joined family members, political associates, and well-wishers to commemorate the 76th posthumous birthday of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
In a posthumous birthday message issued through his media office to mark the occasion, the former ALGON Chairman described the late governor as a visionary leader whose tenure was defined by discipline, infrastructural development, and a firm commitment to good governance.
He noted that Senator Ajimobi’s contributions to the political growth and development of Oyo State remain indelible, stressing that his policies and leadership style continue to influence governance at both state and local government levels.
According to him, the late governor’s passion for peace, order, and progress earned him respect beyond party lines and endeared him to many across the state and the nation.
“Let us continue to work for good governance at the grassroots. Let us insist on excellence in public service. Let us lead with courage, not convenience because in the end what Senator Abiola Ajimobi gave us was more than roads, reforms, or institutions, he gave us a standard”.
The National Deputy Chairman NALGON EMERITUS prayed for the repose of Senator Ajimobi’s soul and urged leaders to continually draw lessons from his life of service, integrity, and dedication to the people.
