Gov. Mohammed Bago of Niger State, Sen. Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South), Abdulfatai Buhari (APC-Oyo North) and Yunus Akintunde (APC-Oyo Central) were among the dignitaries that attended the 50th birthday party of Alhaji Idris Adeoye.
It was a gathering of creme-de-la-creme in the society on Saturday at Manhattan Events Hall in Ibadan all for a philanthropist of note, Adeoye.
Adeoye, a renowned engineer, philanthropist, outstanding professional, and chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State.
Prominent Nigerians including House of Representatives members, associates, friends, family members and politicians from different political divides were among those who attended the programme.
Among the serving lawmakers present were Rep. Olamijuwon Alao-Akala(APC-Ogbomoso North/South/Oriire), Rep. Akin Alabi (APC-Egbeda/Ona-Ara), Rep Tajudeen Kareem (ATISBO/Saki East/Saki West), Wasiu Akimoyede (Akinyele/Lagelu) and Olaide Mohammed(Irepo/Olorunsogo/Oorelope).
Also present are Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, former Chairman of National Lottery Commission, Dr. Isiaka Kolawole, former Executive Secretary, Universal Basic Education Commission, Chief Isaac Omodewu, the State APC Chairman
Others are Mrs. Kemi Alao-Akala, Sen. Monsurat Sunmonu, Mrs Hannah Ogunesan, former Head of Service in Oyo State, Prof. Kayode Adebowale, the Vice-Chancellor, University of Ibadan, Mr Yinka Afonja, Mr Bayo Ajisafe and hosts of others.
Bago described Adeoye as a great man and renowned philanthropist, saying he had built bridges across the country with undiminished interest in a just as well as egalitarian society.
Alli, Buhari and Akintunde in their separate remarks, described the celebrant as a bridge builder who courts everlasting friendship across Nigeria as well as political divides.
Alli described Adeoye as a professional with unquestionable character, quintessential Nigerian, renowned philanthropist, epitome of humility and modesty, commending his great service to humanity.
Buhari described Alli as an outstanding professional, distinguished personality and philanthropist of note, who had contributed immensely to humanity..
Akintunde described Adeoye as a reliable, dependable and kindhearted personality whose selfless service to humanity was highly commendable.
They all prayed that Almighty God, who has richly blessed him in the past 50 years, would continue to bless him with good health and long life.
Several other dignitaries at the event, also described Adeoye as a great man and philathropist of note, whose contributions to humanity was commendable.
