Few hours after the Oyo State Government held valedictory service in honour of the late Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Hon. Kehinde Ayoola, the burial plans of the deceased have commenced in earnest.
Pacesetter News reliably gathered on Monday that the burial of the cerebral politician has been fixed for two days next week; Wednesday and Thursday.
A top government official (names witheld) was said to have visited the family members of the deceased where programmes for the burial were arrived at.
Sources privy to the meeting confided in our Correspondent that, “the two-day programme was arrived at, in conjunction with the family of the deceased which had in attendance his wife and twin sister, Taiwo.
“For the Wednesday, there will be an Online service of songs because of the physical distancing occasioned by the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic otherwise called Covid-19.
“And his remains would be interred on Thursday where short burial service will be held at the cemetery,” he added.
Ayoola died last week during a brief illness.
He was one time Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly and served as the Director General of the Seyi Makinde gubernatorial campaign and Deputy Director General in 2015 and 2019 respectively.
