A renowned Anglican cleric, Rev’d Canon Samuel Olayinka Omoyayi, has charged humanity of God’s high expectations, emphasizing that humans were created to be fruitful, productive and law-abiding.
Delivering a sermon at the wake-keep service for late Surveyor Joseph Segun Oladejo (70) at the Cathedral of St. Peter, Aremo, Ibadan, Rev’d Omoyayi stressed that God expects humans to bear fruits of peace, love, and assistance to the needy.
Quoting Luke 13:6-9, he warned that those who fail to utilize God’s blessings for the betterment of society will face consequences, just like the unfruitful fig tree.
Rev’d Omoyayi described the late Oladejo as a shining example of Christianity, humility, and philanthropy, urging the congregation to emulate his good deeds.
Dignitaries in attendance included Engnr. Odeniyi Alao (President, Aremo Christian Fellowship), traditional rulers, survey professionals, and family members.
Prayers were offered for the deceased, his family, and the congregation.
