A group, “The Premier Patriots” has said the Jagun Olubadan and owner of Ilaji Sports and Resorts, Akaran, Ibadan, Engr. Chief Dotun Sanusi is not religious bigot.
The Group warned those behind religious sentiments against Sanusi to desist, saying religious sentiments not what the state and Nigeria at large needs now.
A statement by the Coordinator of the Group, Asiwaju Nurudeen Akinade in response to an article on media title: “Unmasking Deception: When did Pastor Dotun Sanusi becomes a Muslim?” alledgelly by Tijjaaniyyah Grassroot Mobilisation and Initiative of Nigeria (TIGMEIN) urged the organisation to leave religious sentiments aside and face what the organisation is meant for.
The statement dare writer of the article to quote or mentioned anywhere Chief Jubril Dotun sanusi proclaimed that he has changed to Muslim because he want to be Governor of Oyo state.
According to the statement, “Dotun Sanusi was born as a Muslim and his name is Jubril, his father, a 93-years man is an Alhaji.
“Almost all his siblings are Muslims,
Dotun Sanusi has Muslims and Christian in his family.
“He built Mosque and Church, he has sent many Muslims and Christian to holy pilgrimages to Mecca and Jerusalem respectively. He is not a religious bigot, he is friendly with both Muslim, Christian and Traditional Worshipers.
“He is a philanthropists and a business man who is one of the major employer of Labour in Oyo state today.
“Next Gubernatorial election is still far away from now, nobody should be building any serious political stakeholding, the incumbent has not even celebrated their first anniversary. We in the process of governance, Politicians should kindly tarry on Politicking for now.
“Jubril Dotun Sanusi mobilises for Christian, Muslims, and Traditional Worshipers during the last electoral campaign that produced President Bola Tinubu.
“Ask from Chief Imam Ibadan and Grand Imam of Oyo state, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Oyo state as well as the Araba Awo of Ibadanland.” They are in the best position to tell the kind of personality Jagun Olubadan Jubril Dotun Sanusi is. The statement quoted.
