A group in the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Oyo State Council, spreading the good works of the current Chairman of the union among its members, DEMBAB Volunteers has congratulated members of the union and Christians in general on the commencement of Easter celebration with Good Friday and Easter on Sunday.
In a release by its Convener, Lekan Shobo Shobowale, “Easter celebration, is an auspicious moment for Christians and Nigerians as a whole to renew hope, embrace one another and purposefully forge ahead with unity in diversity.
“We rejoice with our members especially Christians, on the commemoration of the historic travails and ultimate triumph of our Lord Jesus Christ.
“The moment reminds us of everything that Jesus Christ stood for: his unshakable faith in God, his undiluted love and sacrifice for humanity, his avuncularity and tolerance, and his forgiving spirit”.
In the release, the group commends the current leadership of the Union under the leadership of Ademola Babalola (DEMBAB) for his sterling leadership qualities in the last two years.
“The last two years of DEMBAB administration has witnessed massive transformation in the Oyo NUJ with many good testimonies from members and other relevant stakeholders”, the group said.
The group lauds the stakeholders of the Union for their support for the chairman so far and urged them to continue to support the Chairman and his executive members for improved welfare of the members of the association.
