As Nigeria Muslims join their counterparts all over the world to mark the festival of Eid-el-fitri, the immediate past Algon chairman Oyo state and house of representatives hopeful, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye MDII has urged Moslem Ummah to carry on with the principles and teachings of the holy month of Ramadan which are perseverance, sacrifice, love, peace, kindness, compassion and peaceful co-existence.
In his goodwill message that was made available to journalists on Sunday in Ibadan, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye congratulated Moslems for the successful completion of the Ramadan.
“It is only when the principles of the season are sustained beyond Ramadan that the fasting period can be given its true meaning”.
“During Ramadan, which is one of the important pillars of Islam,we were obliged to fast,shun evil actions, speak right and show love to one another”
“Above all,we should not draw back in our devotion to Allah,which is the ultimate of our faith”, the ex Algon chairman added.
Aleshinloye urged Muslims in the country to use the period of the Eid El Fitri to reflect on their spiritual life as individuals and how they can contribute more meaningfully towards the unity and progress of Nigeria.
Praying that Allah accepts all our supplications, sacrifices and other good deeds during the month of Ramadan as an act of ibadah. Most importantly, he prayed to the Almighty Allah to intervene in the affairs of our nation given the many challenges facing the country soonest. The most distinguished Ibadan Indigene wishes moslem communities a happy Eid El Fitri celebration.
