Some hoodlums have invaded Radio Nigeria in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, carting away properties worth millions of naira.
The radio station, christened Amuludun 99.1 FM was said to have invaded by about twelve hoodlums on Saturday afternoon, according to Daily Post.
Amuludun FM is located at Moniya area of Ibadan ā broadcasts in Yoruba language.
The hoodlums were said to be armed with cutlasses, matchets, axes and other dangerous weapons, sources told the medium.
It was also gathered from some of the staff of the radio station that the hoodlums destroyed some property worth millions of naira during the invasion.
Among the properties destroyed included windows of offices, office equipment, cars and other invaluables.
The General Manager, Amuludun FM, Mr. Niyi Dahunsi, also confirmed the Saturday night invasion.
He, however, said that security agents have been mobilised to prevent further attacks on the station.
āThe Police, DSS and NSCDC said the station would be under their watchful eyes for proper security.ā
The invasion of the station is coming a few days after some hoodlums invaded Palms Mall located at Ring Road area of Ibadan.
