Hundreds of APC Supporters In Osun Join PDP

Orita-merin Square in Ifetedo Ife-South Local Government Area was the venue where over three-hundreds supporters who had just dumped the opposition party APC for the PDP were out to prove a point.

Indeed, they proved a point as they defied the torrential rain singing joyously as they were received to the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) by Honourable Sunday Bisi, the Osun state Chairman of the PDP.

The Osun State PDP leader commended the defectors for what he described as a bold decision, which they’ve taken for the progress of developmental governance, which Osun State is enjoying under the watch of His Excellency Governor Ademola Adeleke.

The decampees lamented their unpalatable experience, which made them dump the opposition party APC.

” Lack of internal democracy and marginalization were the order of the day in APC. We’ve seen the difference between a party that loves the masses, and a party of pretence”.

“If we could be feeling the wind of good governance by Governor Adeleke in a remotest Local Government Area like ours, then we must join him in concerted efforts to take Osun to greater heights”. Adewale Olanrewaju, from Aare Ward explained.

A PDP Chieftain in Ife-South, Honourable Diran Ayanbeku said the defection of the people from APC to the PDP,is a testament to the continued acceptance of the party’s democratic principles, which is evident in Governor Ademola Adeleke’s style of leadership.

Honourable Akindele Famuyide,PDP Chairman Osun East Senatorial District therefore enjoined the people, not to relent in supporting the PDP, especially in the coming Local Government Areas elections February next year.

The State Working Committee used the opportunity to unveil Muyiwa Aroke as the party’s flag-bearer in Ife-South for the coming Local Government elections,as well as councilorship candidates across various wards.
