The Chiefs, family heads (Mogajis) under the umbrella of Ibadan Compounds Peace Initiatives (ICPI) promoted by Chief Dotun Sanusi have congratulated the Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde ahead of his swearing-in for second term in office as the governor of the state.
They said Makinde second term in office would bring a lot of progress and development to Ibadanland and Oyo state at large.
They urged Makinde to consolidate on his achievements recorded in his first term as the governor, saying he should be focus and not be distracted so as to take the state to its destination.
A statement jointly signed by the President, Association of Ibadan Mogajis, Mogaji Asimiyu Ariori and ICPI Coordinator, Mogaji Nurudeen Akinade described Makinde as someone who always have concern for the development of Ibadanland and Oyo State.
According to the statement, “Makinde’s administration which rests on four pillars, namely: Security, Infrastructure, Education and Economic Expansion through Agriculture, has performed creditably well in all the sectors”.
They noted that Makinde is worthy to be praised considering what the governor has done in the last four years of his administration.
They however said Makinde should give priority to the welfare of the people of the state so as to alleviate suffering of residents of the state.
