Ibadan Mogajis hail security agencies on maintenance of peace

The Association of Ibadan Mogajis has lauded security agencies in the state, particularly the Police for maintenance of peace and security in Ibadanland and Oyo State as a whole.

 

The Mogajis described the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Williams as a listening, proactive, dutiful, responsible and responsive officer.

 

A statement jointly signed by the President of Association of Ibadan Mogajis, Mogaji Asimiyu Ariori and Coordinator, Ibadan Compounds Peace Initiatives (ICPI), Mogaji Nurudeen Akinade also expressed gratitude to the heads of security agencies in Oyo State including Operation burst, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Amotekun, and Ibadan Security Volunteers among others for being wonderful in the area of Security, law and order in the 2022.

 

ICPI, which consists of Ibadan High Chiefs, Senior Chiefs, other Ibadan Chiefs, Mogajis, Baales and several prominent sons and daughters of Ibadanland under the authority of the Olubadan of Ibadanland along with Association of Mogajis of Ibadanland felicitates and equally appreciated people in the state for being law abiding.

 

“It must be brought back to our memory, that in the last few years the rate of crimes within Ibadanland and Oyo State has reduced grossly. The rate gangsterism and all forms of violence attacks by various armed groups with in Ibadan city has gone down considerably. This couldn’t have been a magic, some people must have been working tirelessly behind the scenes.”

 

Recall that suspected kidnappers along Lagos /Express way were arrested and paraded by the state Commissioner of Police through the state PPRO with millions of cash as ransom and four AK-47 riffles.

 

Ibadan Compounds Peace Initiatives and Association of Mogajis however charged all the security agencies to continue with good works in the incoming year 2023 which also happen to be the electioneering year, urging them to ensure that Ibadanland and Oyo state is relatively free of crimes.
