The Baale Beyioku in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State, Chief Timothy Oluniyi Adeleke, has called on the state government alongside security operatives and other stakeholders to tackle insecurity in the country, especially the state with holistic approach in order to end the scourge.
Chief Adeleke, who made this call on Saturday during the Chieftaincy Coronation and Thanksgiving service, held at Beyioku town, also admonished the newly installed chiefs to remain committed to the peace and unity of the town in particular and the state in general..
He, therefore, pledged the readiness of the traditional rulers to partner the government in combating the scourge of insecurity in the state.
Baale Beyioku said for the country to overcome the menace, security agencies must collaborate with the traditional rulers, sensitise and encourage their subjects to provide intelligence and expose the criminals in their domains.
He lauded the Oyo state governor, Engineer Oluseyi Makinde for his relentless effort in fighting insecurity, advising that security meeting with the stakeholders, leaders and traditional rulers should be held regularly both at state and local levels as a way of enhancing security in the state.
He called for good leadership and committed following as panacea for ensuring a sustainable peace in the state
He maintained that the time had come for all to follow the path that would continue to promote peace, unity and tranquillity, particularly in the wake of dire security situation in the country.
