The 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream Two orientation exercise for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members deployed to Oyo State came to a close on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.
Governor Seyi Makinde, represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports, congratulated the corps members on their successful completion of the three-week induction exercise. He urged them to embody the NYSC motto of “Service and Humility” and contribute meaningfully to their host communities.
Makinde assured the corps members of the government’s commitment to addressing their welfare needs and ensuring their safety. He encouraged them to focus on community development projects and acquire skills for self-employment.
Mr. Oche praised the corps members’ discipline and diligence, emphasizing the importance of respecting host communities’ traditions and culture. He appealed to local government authorities to support corps members’ community development projects.
The ceremony, held at the Permanent Orientation Camp in Iseyin, was attended by dignitaries, including the Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Sefiu Oyebola Olawale Adeyeri III.
