‘Muri Omi’ Hosts OPC Members, Reaffirms Support for Gani Adam’s Security Reform

The Senatorial Chairman of the Iba Gani Adams led Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) for Ibadanland, Alhaji Muritala Ifawale Adekola better known as ‘E le Omo Buruku Danu’ has hosted members of the group for celebration of the New Year.

The celebration, which attracted prominent OPC leaders from across the senatorial district, was attended by the group local government leaders and stakeholders.

Speaking at the gathering, Alhaji Muri Omi reaffirmed his unwavering support for the security reform agenda of Iba Gani Adams, describing it as a sustainable approach.

He disclosed that Iba Gani Adams-led OPC stakeholders in Ibadan senatorial will soon embark on tour to mobilise members and residents, urging them to support of OPC and its programmes.

The OPC leader pledged his continued loyalty to Iba Gani Adams, the OPC and the good people of Ibadan senatorial in particular and Oyo State in general assuring stakeholders of his commitment to strengthening the group’s unity and grassroots engagement.

Earlier in their remarks, the community leaders in Ido Local Government Areas and the surrounding communities commended Alhaji Muri for his roles when they were being threatened with incessant robbery attacks.

“We want to use this opportunity to appreciate Alhaji Muri for being our saviour and saving grace when we were being seriously disturbed by armed robbers in our communities.

“Since his intervention, we have been sleeping with all our two eyes closed without demanding money from us”, one of the community leaders said.

Meanwhile, Alhaji Muri had earlier distributed food items to support members during the Christmas and New Year celebrations, a gesture widely commended by group members and beneficiaries.
