The National Chairman of the Zenith Labour Party, Dan Nwanyanwu, former Governors of Ondo and Oyo states, Olusegun Mimiko and Rashidi Ladoja and supporters of the party across the federation will converge on Mapo hall Ibadan for the ‘historic 2019 mega rally’ of the party ahead general elections.
A press statement signed on Monday by the Oyo state Publicity Secretary of the ZLP, Olajide Olanipekun said all arrangements have been concluded to stage the rally in the ancient Mapo ground on Tuesday, beginning from 10am.
Olanipekun, a lawyer said apart from Nwanyanwu, Mimiko and Ladoja, other leaders and party’s National Working Committee members as well as the candidates for various elective offices in 2019 are also being expected.
He said the National Chairman will use the occasion to present flags to the gubernatorial candidates of the ZLP including Oyo state’s flagbearer, Sharafadeen Alli.
Olanipekun urged the party supporters to conduct themselves peacefully to show other political parties on how to organise hitch-free rally devoid of brigandage and hooliganism.
He reechoed the mandate of the ZLP anchored on good governance, equity, Justice and development, just as he listed other party chieftains coming to the rally, to include Chief Segun Odegbami (Ogun state), Yahaya Makama, Segun Jones, ThankGod Enahoro, Hassana El-Abdullahi, Eni Akinsola and Mrs. Onyemekara Chinyere.
