A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and governorship aspirant in Oyo state ahead of the 2027 election, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, has congratulated Dr. Tanimu Turaki, Amb. Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja and other members of the party’s Interim National Working Committee (NWC) on their inauguration.
Olajide, who represents Ibadan North-west/Ibadan South-west federal constituency of Oyo state in the House of Representatives and chairs the House Committee on Digital, Information Communication Technology and Cybersecurity, described the inauguration as a significant step towards stabilising the internal structure of the PDP in Nigeria.
In a congratulatory message made available to newsmen by his Special Adviser, Media and Public Affairs, Tolu Mustapha, the lawmaker said the emergence of seasoned party leaders to steer the affairs of the PDP at this critical period reflects the party’s commitment to repositioning itself for greater national relevance.
The PDP governorship aspirant expressed confidence that the new leadership would provide the necessary guidance to consolidate on the gains of the PDP while addressing internal challenges and strengthening party cohesion across all levels.
He noted that the experience and pedigree of the newly inaugurated Interim NWC members would be instrumental in fostering unity, discipline and strategic direction within the party as the country prepares for the forthcoming general elections, adding that the PDP remains well placed to play a pivotal role in shaping Nigeria’s political and developmental trajectory.
According to him, “I extend my warm congratulations to distinguished leaders of our great party, particularly Alhaji Tanimu Turaki (SAN), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja and other members of the Interim National Working Committee on their inauguration. This is a call to service at a time when our party requires strong leadership and clear direction, the statement read in part.”
