…canvasses support for Tinubu, Yayi, Others
The Ogun State Coordinator, APC Support Group Council, Hon. Lekan Shobo Shobowale on Wednesday urged teachers of public primary schools in the state to support and vote for all the candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections for sustainability of education system.
Hon. Shobowale made the plea at a stakeholders meeting with sports teachers, the National Association of Primary School Games and Sports Teachers (NAPSGAST), and other education professional bodies.
The meeting was well attended by critical stakeholders and comprised of 20 Local Governments representatives that cut across all the units at the NUT hall, Kuto, Ogun state.
Shobowale said the essence of the meeting was to sensitise teachers on their rights and roles in elections.
“This meeting is to identify myself as one of you as my dear national builders. It is to appreciate you for your selfless services to humanity.
“I want to urge you to make yourself to be part of the instrument that will make all the APC candidates starting from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates in Ogun state to emerge for good governance and to continue to enjoy real dividends of democracy.
“You are the leader of your various schools. Kindly meet with all parents, teachers, food vendors, and non-teaching staff on the need to vote for all APC candidates.
“By the grace of God, Ogun state has always been adjudged as one of the best SUBEB in Nigeria with the help of all of you
“I want to assure all of you that all that we have been praising, Gov. Dapo Abiodun, the incoming governor and APC candidates that are coming on board, will improve on them with your support.
“Your interests are going to be protected, and I am employing you to be committed. You have the responsibility to ensure that everybody around you is encouraged to vote.
“We have little time to do that, go out and encourage people to vote” he said.
Earlier in his remarks, Comrade Ola Ope Dimeji, who is the chairman of NAPSGAST, commended the support group coordinator for associating with them, pledged to give the necessary support required to do the needful.
