Olajide ‘Odidiomo’ Picks APM Nomination Form to Contest Oyo South Senate Seat

The member representing Ibadan North-west/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency of Oyo state in the House of Representatives, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, has formally presented his expression of interest and nomination forms for the Oyo south senatorial seat to party faithfuls, political associates and stakeholders across the senatorial district.

The federal lawmaker, who currently serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Digital, Information Communication Technology and Cybersecurity, is seeking election into the senate on the platform of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) ahead of the 2027 general election.

Speaking during the event, Olajide dedicated his senatorial ambition to the well being, development and collective aspirations of the people of Oyo south senatorial district, pledging to sustain effective representation, responsive leadership and continuous legislative engagement if elected into the Red Chamber of the National Assembly.

According to him, the ambition is entrenched in service, inclusiveness and the desire to expand the frontiers of development beyond his current federal constituency to the entire Oyo south senatorial district.

“This aspiration is not about personal ambition alone. It is about the people. It is about giving Oyo south a stronger voice, quality representation and sustained developmental advocacy at the national level,” he stated.

Olajide further assured constituents that his entrance into the senatorial race would be driven by issue based politics, grassroots engagement and practical solutions capable of improving the living conditions of the people.

The lawmaker while appreciating supporters, stakeholders and residents across the district for their continued encouragement and confidence in his leadership, noted that his years in the House of Representatives have provided him with the needed legislative experience, political exposure and grassroots connection required to effectively represent the interests of Oyo south at the senate

He therefore urged residents of the senatorial district to remain united and committed to the collective vision of democratic governance and sustainable development in Oyo state and Nigeria at large.

Olajide also pledged to prioritize youth empowerment, digital economy initiatives, infrastructural development, educational support, economic inclusion and improved legislative participation across the nine local government areas of Oyo south senatorial district, if elected in the coming 2027 general election.
