The newly installed Atayese of Fiditi, Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi, popularly called OPA, has congratulated the Akeem Abass on his emergence as the new chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Oyo State Council.
In a statement through his media office in Ibadan on Saturday, OPA commended the new chairman and his campaign team led by Lekan Shobo Shobowale and other committees for a successful electoral outing.
Olaoluwa, a 2027 governorship hopeful in Oyo state expressed belief that the new chairman will justify the confidence reposed in him by the entire journalists in Oyo State.
“I’m not in doubt of your special leadership abilities in charting a new course for journalistic standards and advocating for the rights of media professionals in Oyo State.”
Olaoluwa stated that he is prepared to support the new Chairman and work with other newly elected NUJ executives to enhance the welfare of original practitioners.
