Omodewu Succeeds Oke As Oyo APC Chairman

A former Commissioner for Lands and Housing in Oyo State, Isaac Omodewu on Saturday emerged as the state chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Otu-born politician emerged after delegates across the state reached consensus and gives their affirmation for his candidacy.

Recall that the congress was postponed two times over allegations by some groups in the party that lists of delegates for the congress has been doctored.

The two term Commissioner in his acceptance speech appealed to APC members in the state to put their grievances aside and come together to move the party to greater heights.

He urged members of the party to allowe peace to reign in the party, and focused on how to win election in the state come 2023.

He however thanked leaders of the party for their support, promising to do his best to reconciled aggrieved members and repositioning the party to its initial position.

“Let peace reigns in Oyo APC, am going to represent everybody, my job is to put this party into one fold”, he said.
