Former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria Chief Adebayo Adelabu has described Late Senator Abiola Ajimobi as a charismatic leader whose vacuum left behind is difficult to fill.
The 2019 All Progressives Congress Governorship Candidate stated this in his goodwill message to mark the first memorial anniversary of the late former governor of Oyo state. In the message made available to Journalists by one of his Media Aides, Comrade Femi Awogboro, he said even after his death, Ajimobi’s positive impact in governance of Oyo state and service to humanity speak after him.
Chief Adebayo Adelabu said former Governor Abiola Ajimobi remains his great political mentor and father figure to him in all ramifications.
“I can not but continue to appreciate my political mentor even in death for his support and contribution before, during and after the 2019 Elections. Despite all odds, he stood with the decision of the party in my unanimous selection as the party’s gubernatorial flagbearer towards effective succession for the advancement of decent and people oriented governance and economic development of Oyo state. All we owe him now is to ensure this vision of his come to reality”, Adelabu said.
“It’s 365 days now and seem like one day that you answered the call of your creator. Though, your departure is painful but the Almighty Allah is unquestionable”, Adelabu added.
The Agba-Akin Parakoyi of Ibadan land Chief Adebayo Adelabu gives thanks to God for his blessings and protection over late Senator Abiola Ajimobi’s family, his wife Chief Mrs Florence Ajimobi, the Children and entire Ajimobi’s family in Oja’ba area of Ibadan metropolis.
He prays to God to continue to strengthen the family and other political associates of Late Senator Abiola Ajimobi so as to sustain his legacies.
