Owolabi Empowers Small-scale Business Owners, Promises To Do More for Constituents

The lawmaker representing Ibadan Northeast State Constituency 2 at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Sola Owolabi has supported about fifty traders in his constituency with a cash grant of N10,000 to each beneficiary.

The empowerment program which is aimed at supporting the small-scale businesses was widely applauded by the business operators.

The smalls-scale traders were carefully selected from different units across Ward-12 of Ibadan Northeast State Constituency Two,as they all went home happily with cash-grant to boost their businesses.

One of the beneficiaries Mudasiru Sanni lauded the Lawmaker’s kind gesture, saying the empowerment program is timely for his business,especially at this time when the country is faced with various economic challenges.

Other speakers at the event applauded Honourable Owolabi’s unwavering commitment to bringing dividends of democracy to the masses, which the trimonthly empowerment epitomizes.

The empowerment programme began earlier this week, where over thirty business operators were empowered, before he took it to Ward 12 for additional beneficiaries.

In his speech, Honourable Owolabi assured his constituents of his selfless service while also seeking their continued support in unity to bring succour to the masses.

He added that the empowerment programme continues at the Local Government level of Ibadan Northeast, where many others would be empowered in a concerted efforts with his counterpart at Ibadan Northeast Constituency 1, Honourable Abiodun Babalola before the end of the week.
