Gubernatorial candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in Oyo state, Mrs. Aduragbemi Animasawun-Euba has said she is still in the 2023 governorship race to liberate the people of the state.
Animasawun stated this on Tuesday in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
She noted that being the only female gubernatorial candidate in the state, she is ready for the challenge to serve the people.
“I’m the only female candidate at this upcoming election. So, I’m ready for the challenge to serve my people. I’m not intimidated as I’m the only female candidate. I’m motivated as I believe the people of Oyo state will vote for me.
“Our people are wiser now, and they want to vote for the people who will be accountable to them. I’m leveraging on the perspective that I’m a woman and also a youth, and I know what our people want to see”, she said.
While soliciting the support of the residents of the state, Animasawun highlighted some of her plans for a greater Oyo state, saying she has the capability to touch all important sectors, such education, infrastructure, agriculture, entrepreneur, security and others.
“My vision is very clear for Oyo State. For education, we’ll focus on teachers training and make them happy. We will work on the infrastructures in the school environment.
“Also on investment, we’ll bring in investors from around the world. People who are willing to invest their money in the state. We’ll also improve our entertainment industry with the necessary support. We will promote infrastructure, provide adequate security among other plans that we have.
“We have a lot of plans for the people of Oyo state. That’s why I’m asking them to vote for me, as I will serve them diligently”, she added.
The YPP gubernatorial candidate maintained that women can also make positive impacts in the society, adding that the people of the state should vote their conscience.
