The Ogbomoso Future Watch (OFW) has welcomed Senator Sharafadeen Alli’s decision to nominate Mr. Adesoji Adedeji as his running mate for the 2027 governorship election.
The group described the move as a demonstration of equity and justice, announced after unveiling him by the leadership of the Oyo State All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement issued in Ogbomoso, OFW President, Seun Alabi lauded the Alli-Adededeji ticket, saying it reflects strategic leadership focused on addressing the challenges facing the pacesetter state.
The endorsement comes despite past debates on the tickets, with the group emphasizing performance, governance and unity over sectarian considerations.
“We, the Ogbomoso Future Watch, wholeheartedly hail Senator Sharafadeen Alli’s nomination of Adesoji Adedeji as running mate for the 2027 election,” Alabi stated.
“This decision signals a clear commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda that has begun transforming critical sectors across our nation.
“As a group, we are clamouring for tangible progress, particularly in security, infrastructure, education and health in the state, and efforts to bridge developmental gaps,” he added.
“Adedeji’s silent contributions make him the right partner to restore all these in the state.”
The OFW, a prominent body highlighted Adedeji’s role in silently fostering development and supporting humanitarian efforts in Ogbomoso.
Alabi called on other Ogbomoso groups to assess the ticket based on deliverables rather than personal sentiments alone.
“Adesoji Adedeji has been silently demonstrating uncommon commitment to the growth and development of our great town. His collaboration with Senator Sharafadeen Alli will yield results in agriculture, education and peace-building initiatives that directly benefit our communities,” the OFW president noted.
“We urge all well-meaning Oyo State residents, especially in Ogbomoso, to support this ticket for sustained progress.”
Alabi revealed that the group conducted consultations with member groups before issuing its position, arriving at a consensus that the Alli-Adededeji leadership duo will offer the best chance for stability ahead of the polls.
“We members of OFW stand firmly with President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima as well as Senator Sharafadeen Alli and Adesoji Adedeji. Their tickets represent hope for a more united, secure and prosperous for Oyo state and Nigeria,” Alabi declared.
“We call on the APC to mobilize effectively and on all citizens to rally behind leaders who have proven their capacity to govern in challenging times,” he concluded.
