Ahead of the forthcoming election of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Oyo State Council, the incumbent chairman, Comrade Demola Babalola, has inaugurated his campaign team.
Comrade Babalola, who is re-contesting for the position of State Chairman has been cleared by the credentials committee of NUJ in Ibadan.
Present at the inauguration were past leaders of the council, including Comrade Lanre Ogundipe; Comrade Victor Oluwadamilare; Mogaji Adewole Soladoye; Gbemiga Ayoade and Comrade Wale Ojo-Lanre.
The union leaders unanimously commended Babalola, adding that he has sustained legacies left behind by past leaders.
The campaign committee has Oluwole Ige as the Director-General and Ramat Alade of ALGIO as Secretary.
Other members of the committee are Jeremiah Oke, (Correspondent Chapel), Lekan Shobowale (BCOS Chapel); and Akinkunmi Adedoja (ALGIO) among others.
The committee is saddled with the task of creating formidable awareness about the successes of Demola Babalola’s administration in all Chapels and reach out to delegates within Oyo State.
Babalola, who is seeking a second term was elected the Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists in 2019
