The Oyo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) is saddened to announce the passing of Sakin Babalola, a veteran journalist and former News Editor at the defunct Sketch Press Limited and Oodua News Newspaper.
A statement by the NUJ Acting Chairman, Seye Ojo and the Union’s Secretary, Sola Oladapo on behalf of the Chairman, Ademola Babalola who was presently on annual vacation, described Sakin Babalola as a dedicated and passionate journalist who served the profession with distinction.
“He was also a devout Christian, a loving father, and a respected community leader.
“The NUJ Oyo State Council mourns the loss of this exceptional individual and extends its condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. May his soul rest in peace.”
