The landmark judgment, delivered recently by Hon. Justice O.O. Oyewumi, proclaims Alhaji Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa as the duly elected and authentic President of our great union (NURTW) nationwide for a second term of office.

In a press statement signed by the Chairman, Alhaji Abideen Olajide (Ejiogbe) and Secretary, Comrade (Otunba) Lekan Aleshinloye, the latest judiciary victory is described as a landmark victory for the rule of law and a testament to the leadership of our great Union’s strong belief in the Nigerian Judiciary system.

The affirmation of Alh. Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa’s victory has laid to rest all doubts about who the legitimate leader of NURTW is, and the Oyo State Council hereby declares its alignment with the Baruwa-led administration for a coordinated movement of the Union.

Both Abideen Ejiogbe and Lekan Alesinloye congratulate the National President, Alhaji Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa, as the duly elected and authentic President of the great Union (NURTW).

“In light of this, the Oyo State Council of NURTW declares its unflinching support for Alh. Baruwa’s mandate to complete his second term as President of the great Union.”

The Council implores all members of the Union in Oyo State and across the country to abide by the court judgment and realign with the constitutionally recognized leader of the Union.

“This is not the time for aspersions; rather, it is a time for all members of the Union to close ranks and offer Alh. Baruwa all necessary cooperation and support for him to succeed.

“The litigation period is over; the judgment has been delivered, recognizing Alh. Baruwa as the legitimate elected President of the Union. Therefore, all hands must be on deck to push forward in the right direction for the progress of NURTW nationwide.”
