GDJAN Lauds Oyo NUJ Chairman, Babalola for Embracing Grassroots Inclusivity at His Mother’s Funeral Reception

In a heartwarming display of compassion and unity, the Grassroots & Development Journalists Association of Nigeria (GDJAN) has extended its commendations to Comrade Ademola Babalola, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Oyo State Council, for his thoughtful consideration towards the underprivileged and grassroots communities at his late mother’s final funeral reception.

The event honored Mama Wulemotu Aweni Babalola and took place in Elekuro, a densely populated and historically underprivileged area, bringing the community together to share in the ceremony and celebrate her life.

In a press release issued by GDJAN Secretary Mrs. Ramat Alade, the association praised Babalola’s choice of venue, which demonstrated a rare commitment to his local community. “Comrade Babalola’s decision to hold this gathering in Elekuro, where the masses and underprivileged reside in high numbers, reveals a leader with the heart of the people, a man who remains connected to his roots,” Alade noted. She further expressed that hosting such an event in a local, accessible area allows the entire community to feel included, honored, and supported.

Ordinarily, many expected Babalola to hold the event in one of Ibadan’s high-profile event centers, particularly given the esteemed guests in attendance, but his commitment to the grassroots was evident as he returned to his family’s community. “His choice to host the reception on familiar grounds underscored his desire to give back to his people and allow everyone—family, friends, and local residents—to participate,” GDJAN stated.

The open invitation to the event, held at Elekuro Grammar School, provided a welcoming atmosphere, with no restrictions on who could attend. Attendees, from young children to the elderly, the able-bodied to the differently abled, enjoyed the abundance of food and drinks, creating an environment of inclusion and warmth. “No one who arrived at the venue left without being served. Babalola demonstrated respect for the community by making everyone feel equal in the celebration of his mother’s life,” the release continued.

Several local vendors and residents, like Falilat, known as “Ìyá Olobi” and a local kolanut seller, shared their gratitude for the opportunity to engage in business and witness such an event. “Today has been a blessing for us here,” Falilat shared, visibly touched. “We’ve been treated like part of the family. I saw the Commissioner of Police for the first time in my life, and yet we felt welcomed and free. I was able to feed my children, and we even made some money from selling our goods. It’s rare to see such gatherings where everyone benefits and feels respected.”

GDJAN’s release also expressed gratitude to the array of public officials who honored the occasion with their presence or sent representatives. This list of dignitaries included the Chairman of the Association of Local Governments (ALGON) in Oyo State and Egbeda Local Government Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Oyedele Sanda; Oluyole Local Government Chairman, Engr. Akeem Olatunji; and Ona Ara Local Government Chairman, Dr. Kolapo Glorious. Additionally, the Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Staff Pension Board, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, and other grassroots leaders were acknowledged for supporting the event.

“This unifying gathering stands as a testament to the close bond and unity within Ibadanland and Oyo State as a whole,” the statement concluded. GDJAN emphasized that Babalola’s thoughtful approach not only honored his mother’s memory but also reinforced his commitment to his roots, setting a powerful example for leaders across Nigeria.

‘Odidiomo’ Facilitates Digital Literacy, Data Protection Training for 600 Constituents

Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, the federal lawmaker representing Ibadan North-west/Ibadan south-west Federal Constituency of Oyo State, at the national assembly will on Monday, 18th November, 2024, host a comprehensive Digital Literacy and Data Protection Training for 600 youth across his constituency. 

 

The training, scheduled to take place at the Jogor Centre in Ibadan, is designed to equip young Nigerians with critical skills in digital technology and cybersecurity, which are increasingly necessary in today’s tech-driven world.

 

The training programme which is being organized in collaboration with the Federal College of Horticulture, Dadin Kowa, and supported by private sector partners, Salico-Prime Investment Limited and Manban Global Concept Nigeria Limited, is expected to have a transformative impact on the youth, helping them acquire digital literacy skills with emphasis of personal data protection in an era where online security is a growing concern.

 

In a statement made available to newsmen on the commencement of the training by his Special Adviser, Media and Public Affairs, Tolu Mustapha, the two term lawmaker explained that the initiative is part of his ongoing efforts to empower the youth in his constituency, ensuring they are well-equipped to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

 

“This training is an opportunity for the youth in Ibadan North-West and Ibadan South-West federal constituency of Oyo state to enhance their digital skills and understand the fundamental principles of data protection,” Olajide said.

 

“We live in a digital age where information is key and safeguarding personal data is critical. This training will provide practical insights on how to use technology responsibly and securely.

 

“It is not enough for our youth to be familiar with technology alone, they must also understand how to protect themselves and their information online,” he added.

Olubadan Lauds Abuja Varsity Authority for Empowering Oyo Students

His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Ige Olakulehin I has commended the Abuja University leadership for empowering Oyo State students intellectually.

The paramount ruler gave the commendation while receiving the University of Abuja PhD students for Policy and Strategic Studies in his palace at Oke Aremo, Ibadan on Tuesday.

The monarch who spoke through Gbonka Balogun of Ibadanland , Chief Monsur Abiola Arulogun appreciated the university for considering Oyo State as one of the states in the country to benefit from the leadership training program.

“Knowledge is power especially in critical areas of human endeavours, thus the students that benefitted from the training should prepare to use the knowledge acquired for the advancement of Oyo State in particular and Nigeria as a country”,  the traditional ruler further stressed.

Oba Olakulehin also expressed his gratitude to the students of Oyo State origin for giving back to their state the academic experiences acquired over a period of time .

Earlier in his address, the leader of the team, Dr. Abraham Ogunkanmbi disclosed that they were in Oyo State to impart knowledge into some selected secondary school students drawn from both public and private schools in some critical areas of life.The areas of study embarked upon by the university students for the onward transmission to the secondary students include leadership training, political science, resilience and safety of schools throughout Nigeria among others.

The visiting team was led by Dr.Abraham Ogunkanmbi from Lead British International School, Abuja , others are Air Commodore Musa Ajani Aileru from Defense Headquarters Abuja, Barr. Yoruba Nation Lauds Royal Fathers for Boycotting Alleged ‘Shameful’ Meeting

The Executive Council of the Yoruba Nation has commended Yoruba traditional rulers for boycotting a meeting on November 7, 2024, deemed ‘shameful’ by the Council.

The meeting, allegedly organized by self-serving predatory Yoruba politicians and traitors to the Yoruba cause said to aim at undermining the Yoruba youths’ resolve to establish the Republic of Orileede Yoruba.

According to the statement released by Dr. Ayo Coker, Publicity Secretary of Yoruba Self-determination Movement, the  royal fathers’ boycott demonstrated ‘uncompromisingly progressive leadership and protected the dignity of Yoruba culture.’

The Yoruba Nation firmly rejects continued membership in the unsustainable Nigerian states citing unprecedented existential threats to Yoruba life, culture and livelihood.

The Council praised Yoruba youths for their role in mobilizing against the meeting and reaffirmed their commitment to proclaiming the Republic of Orileede Yoruba.

You’re not in right position to talk about God – Satguru Maharaj Ji tells Primate Elijah Ayodele

The Living Perfect Master and Founder of One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji, has reacted to a statement by one Pastor Nathaniel Ningi who said Satguru Maharaj Ji, is too small for Primate Elijah Ayodele to reply.

Maharaj Ji had in a press release stated that Primate Elijah Ayodele should stop prophesying doom against Tinubu and Nigeria.

The Living Perfect Master said: “Religion is a mega liability to national development. Sentiments of religion are parochial and are never able to meet the objective demands of genuine and sustainable national progress.

“Religion does not grow economies. It does not produce inventions. Religion is of no relevance to sound economic planning and transformation. Religion is a multi- dimensional burden that should not be allowed to weigh Nigeria down further!

“Undiluted truth tells that Primate Elijah Ayodele do not represent the silent and stoical actors responsible for Nigeria’s success of surviving the explosive booby- traps of war and anarchy set on its path by external forces and their elite Nigerian goons over the years.

“Creativity is the soul of all progress. Creativity is of two principal dimensions. They are Spiritual and intellectual. The latter barren without being energized by the Omnipotent shine of Divine Light, Primordial, perfect and all-providing Divine Light is The Creator whose natural presence in anything gives it life and creative potency. Man must connect with Him to be able to discover and manifest his creative capabilities,. Without this vital connection, man and society cannot ascend the gradient of profoundness. This basically explains why, despite all the University degrees accumulated by Nigerians and their leaders, Nigeria’s development has remained stunted and ghettorized!

“For 47 years now, Satguru Maharaj Ji’s divine and selfless efforts designed to save mankind from the brink of obliteration has kept Nigeria together and trudging on relentlessly to its ultimate destination of grace and glory. “By Maharaj Ji’s presence, many church leaders, which include The Pope, Archbishop of Canterbury etc., are all coming to debunk the conceptualized fantasy and hypocrisy which religion represent to free themselves from interminable karmic reaction.

“Maharaj Ji has come out in no mistaken terms to proclaim the Divinity of the Balckman as the highly prophesied expected Redeemer of Mankind. In the face of the avalanche of revelations, church leaders like you are still pretending and holding Maharaj Ji’s children hostage in their various Spiritually Deprived People’s Camps called churches. It is therefore pertinent, to remind you about the scriptural warning, “Woe to you experts in religious laws! For you remove the key to knowledge from the people. You don’t enter the kingdom yourself and you prevent others from entering.” Luke 11:52.

“You and your so-called Primate Ayodele are both conmen in cassock and parasites with nothing to contribute to the common good of all. Rather, you sap your members energy and natural resources deceptively, through your con plan. In the name of Jesus, you feed fat on your members daily. From people’s daily toil, you junket round the world. With their money, you build schools members can’t afford to send their children/wards to. Worst still, you buy and still buying private jets through members sweat.

“To let you know some of public tests to prove the potency of Maharaj Ji’s power of love, a certain religionist called Bishop Cos publicly declared that Satguru Maharaj Ji should renounce His claim to Divine Mastership on 31st July, 1993, or risked being dealt with by him. Satguru Maharaj Ji likened the rabble-rousing Bishop to Mosquito dancing “Ajasco” at the airport. Three months after his threat, he was caught pants-down raping a 3-year-old baby girl. The ignoble act by someone who calls himself a Bishop and man of God signifies a strong warning that disrespect to the Holy Spirit Incarnate is unpardonable, according to the Scriptures. Bishop Cos who is sspirituality Lilliput blamed satan for pushing him to a point where he has to disgrace himself publicly, by raping a toddler.

“Again, here are some of the many recognitions given to me: Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo’s Declaration “God is a Nigerian, and in a Nigerian Body, I am not blaspheming”, proclamation in a major newspaper and he repeated it in the Sunday Pubch of December 3, 2010, thus, “God has been good to Nigeria; God is a Nigerian because despite our may challenges we are still moving together “.

“A popular columnist in The Sun Newspaper (Philosophical Reflections), Prof. Ikye Nathan Uzorma (Protus) also acknowledges Satguru Maharaj Ji in the following words. “Among all humans Maharaj Ji is a superior, among all gods, He is great and above all, He has the missing key to Divine Knowledge which is the cement that seals every civilization. Anyone who shall oppose me here will do so out of ignorance relating to the consummate mystery or reality. The Guru is a Good God and a Good Man”.

“Satguru Maharaj Ji has saved so many souls, and has attracted to Himself friends and foes, with great passion, in the course of His earthly Divine Mission and Missionary journey. However, unlike the great nationalists, Sir Herbert Macaulay, Dr. Nnamdi Azikwe, Marcus Garvey, Alhaji Adegoke Adelabu, Martins Luther King Jnr., Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Dr Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana, Sekou Toure, Patience Lumumba, Jomo Kenyatta, Nelson Mandela etc., who brought political freedom and independence, having been better exposed to the political realities of their people, who were subjected to colonialism and segregation, at the instance of unverified information, as regards racial and colour superiority, Satguru Maharaj Ji, on His own brought Divine Knowledge to free the whole world, particularly the Black Race, from spiritual manipulation, so that the world could stand on its own feet, naturally epitome by both the Black and White people, instead of one foot, as being selfishly manipulated by the whites.

“I am not here to socialize nor drive big cars and build houses as my mission here on Earth as the Living Perfect Master is to redeem and salvage my children from darkness to Divine Light. I am not here for material things like you do. Divinity is not quantified by car, houses, private jets, wives, money in your account etc.

“You’re one of those that the Kaduna Mafias are using to destabilize and preach lies to innocent Nigerians so as to take them as slaves once again but as the Living Perfect Master of this age, who has come in a human body. I have come to salvage the world from the hands of evil doers like Primate Elijah Ayodele, who’s trade is to say prophesies that has no solution.

“I am telling you categorically today, that you’re using witchcraft power to deceive people. You’re one of those that is giving evil sermons to people so as sap their spirits to serve factories in Oyinbo lands.

“Even in the Constitution of Nigeria, such prophesies are not allowed. Today, God Has arrived in Nigeria. God has taken a body as it was in the beginning and so no room will be given to anybody to misrepresent, mislead, mis-carry because of justice.

“If money was the priority, we would not have lost Wigwe, Lagbaja and many others. So you’re warned. Don’t forget that there is a saying that ‘Awon To ba ntako olori, manrin ni ihoho’.

“I am requesting that Pastor Ningi should go ahead and report to the police to investigate numerous allegations he’s claiming to be about Satguru Maharaj Ji, the Living Perfect Master of our age. He shouldn’t waste time if he is sincere to himself otherwise if whatever he is saying is not proved, the result of karma will be against him as a doomed pastor.

“Primate Ayodele could not have heard from God because he has been in the business of releasing false prophecies at every turn in the politics of Nigeria and the world.

“It was he who predicted that President Goodluck Jonathan would win the 2015 presidential election; it was he who predicted that Governor Nasir el-Rufai will not win the governorship election in Kaduna State and it was the same man who recently predicted victory for Kamala Harris, in the just concluded presidential election in the United States,” he said.

Maharaj Ji said with the series of failed prophecies emanating from Ayodele, he should be hiding his face from God and the general public, adding that he lacked the credibility to utter any further “gibberish” in the name of prophesy.

“Primate Ayodele should try as much as possible to use the money collected as tithes to establish farm or cottage industries for Nigerians instead of siphoning the hard earned money from the innocent members who had been brain-washed to die before seeing God.

“You are seeing nothing. I urge the good people in our various states to ignore Primate Elijah Ayodele for he knows not what he is saying or doing.

Reconsider Your Decision To Withdraw From Oyo Guber Race Group Tells Dotun Sanusi

In a surprising turn of events, supporters of Jubril Dotun Sanusi, a prominent businessman and philanthropist, have urged him to reconsider his decision to withdraw from the 2027 Oyo State governorship race.

This development comes despite the Ilaji Hotels and Resorts owner’s willingness to step down for some reasons.

The Jubril Dotun Sanusi Solitary Group, a collective group backing Sanusi’s candidacy, dismissed rumors of his withdrawal, emphasizing that the grassroots clamor for his leadership remains strong.

The group expressed skepticism about the withdrawal rumors, citing Sanusi’s unwavering commitment to the people of Oyo State.

Recall that earlier, Hon. Babatunde Oduyoye, a former Whip of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) in the House of Representatives, also weighed in on the matter.

He noted that Sanusi cannot withdraw from a race he never officially entered, as he has not publicly declared his candidacy.

Oduyoye emphasized the need for a candidate with the best interests of Oyo State at heart, someone who can effectively build upon Governor Seyi Makinde’s achievements. He stressed the importance of a leader who can improve the state’s infrastructure, education, and healthcare systems.

As the 2027 governorship election approaches, the Group remains steadfast in its support for Sanusi, urging him to continue his pursuit of leadership.

The group’s enthusiasm is fueled by Sanusi’s vision for Oyo State, which prioritizes education, healthcare, and infrastructure development.

With Sanusi’s willingness to withdraw now in question, his supporters are more determined than ever to encourage him to stay in the race.

Group Appeals To Makinde, Other Stakeholders To Check Excesses of Land Grabbers

Good Legacy, a socio-political group, has urged the Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde to check the excesses of land grabbers across the state.

Reacting to a trending video of a landlord in Elebu, Kunle Ojo Feyitimi, whose house was damaged by suspected land-grabbers, the group added that leaving landgrabbers unchallenged and unchecked will send investors away.

In a statement jointly signed by its chairman, Akinosun Bankole and secretary, Jide Gbolagade on Monday, Good Legacy said a state that wants development must do everything to eradicate Land-grabbing.

The group also recalled that recently some Ibadan Obas and Village Heads in Ona Ara local government area cried to the governor to rescue them from landgrabbers.

The Obas and Baales alleged that the landgrabbers stormed their villages and farm lands in Oyo state government vehicles.

While commending the efforts of the governor to develop Ibadan and the state, Good Legacy pointed out that some certain issues left unattended and unchecked will serve as hindrance to the much needed-development.

The group promised to always point out the issues anytime they noticed them adding that they’re for the development of the state.

The statement read in part: “A state that desires development must eradicate land-grabbing to create a conducive environment for investors. Leaving land-grabbers unchallenged will only serve as a deterrent to investors, hindering the state’s progress.

“Governor Seyi Makinde must take decisive action against land-grabbers to protect the rights of indigenous people and promote development. Unchecked land-grabbing will undermine the efforts of the governor to develop Ibadan and the state. It’s crucial for the government to address the land-grabbing issue, as it affects not only the local communities but also the state’s economic growth.

“We recalled recently that some Obas and Village Heads in Ona Ara local government area of the state called on the governor to rescue them from landgrabbers. The traditional rulers alleged that the landgrabbers are storming their villages and farms in Oyo state government vehicles destroying the farms and villages and taking over them.”

Adedeji’s Reps C’ttee On ICT Moves To Engage Citizens, Others On Proposed Nat’nal Digital Economy and E-Governance Bill

The House of Representatives Committee on Digital, Information Communication Technology (ICT), and Cybersecurity, under the leadership of Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, has intensified efforts to engage with citizens and stakeholders on the proposed National Digital Economy and E-Governance Bill.

The bill, which has garnered significant attention, is aimed at transforming Nigeria’s digital landscape and providing a comprehensive legal framework to enhance digital economic activities.

In a statement released to journalists on Saturday, Tolu Mustapha, the Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs to Hon. Olajide, revealed that consultations and awareness campaigns have already been held in several states, including Niger, Ondo, Katsina, Lagos, Zamfara, Delta and Nasarawa.

Mustapha emphasized that the bill’s outreach would eventually cover all 36 states of the federation as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The bill, which is jointly sponsored by Hon. Olajide and Senator Shuaib Salisu, is expected to be one of the most significant legislative measures of the current administration.

According to Mustapha, the proposed law will foster the growth of Nigeria’s digital economy by providing a solid legal framework for international digital trade, improving public service delivery and enhancing transparency in digital governance.

“This bill will help harness digital technologies to boost Nigeria’s economic potential, creating an environment conducive to international investments and ensuring more efficient and accountable public services,” Mustapha said.

Hon. Olajide, who according to his media aide, reiterated his commitment to ensuring that the final bill would be a reflection of the people’s views and needs also called on Nigerians to continue supporting the initiative, stressing that their feedback would be crucial in shaping the bill into a law that would benefit the entire nation.

“Nigeria currently lacks a comprehensive law to guide our digital economy. If we can craft a legislation that accelerates the growth of this sector, we will be able to unlock untapped potential. This is a critical opportunity for everyone to contribute towards the bill’s success,” he stated.

The nationwide consultations, which began on October 29, is supported by the World Bank Group’s Identification for Development (ID4D) Initiative, which aims to enhance digital identity systems in developing countries.

The next phase of consultations will take place in Kano, Cross River, Kaduna, Ogun, and Abia states, with additional states to follow in the coming months.

Ibadan Northeast Lawmaker, Owolabi Charges Oyo MDAs On Transparency,  Accountability

The lawmaker representing Ibadan Northeast State Constituency II at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Sola Owolabi has challenged various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies of the state on improved service delivery through transparency and accountability as they manage public funds.

He made this call during a recent oversight functions of the House Committee on Public Accounts, which reviews the financial activities of the various MDAs of Oyo State in the past years.

The lawmaker who is the Chairman, House Committe on Public Accounts said: ” the thorough scrutiny of financial activities of various MDAs by the Committe,is in line with Governor Seyi Makinde’s transparency and accountability managing the resources of the State”

He added that, the State Legislature under the leadership of Rt. Honourable Debo Ogundoyin is equally proactive in its complimentary role through its oversight functions,as empowered by section126(2b) of the 1999 Constitution as amended.

The lawmaker posits that proper scrutiny of financial activities of these MDAs, further strengthens the people’s confidence reposed in the current administration in Oyo State under the stewardship of Governor Seyi Makinde.

The review of the financial activities of the various MDAs of Oyo State began on Monday 4th November this year, continues,as the Committe beams its search light on the activities of the various MDAs in preparation for the 2025 fiscal year.

This is expected to strengthen the confidence of local and international organizations in assessing the transparency and accountability of Oyo State Government in managing the state’s affairs.

GDJAN Mourns Passing of Oyo NUJ Chairman’s Mum, Wulemotu Aweni Babalola

The Grassroots & Development Journalists Association of Nigeria (GDJAN) has expressed deep shock and heartfelt condolences to Comrade Ademola Babalola, the Oyo State Council Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), following the sudden demise of his mother, Mama Wulemotu Aweni Babalola, on Sunday.

In a statement issued by GDJAN’s Secretary, Mrs. Ramat Alade, the association described the death of Mama Wulemotu as a tragic and unexpected loss that has left many heartbroken. According to Mrs. Alade, the news of her death is especially devastating because there had been no signs of illness or distress before the sad occurrence, making her passing more painful for those close to her.

“The timing of this loss is especially difficult,” the statement noted. “At a period when the country faces economic challenges and security concerns, our youths and leaders, like Comrade Ademola Babalola, are in great need of dependable and patriotic elders. Mama Wulemotu was one of those rare individuals, embodying reliability, discipline, and selflessness. Her wisdom and guidance were invaluable, and her absence will be felt deeply by her family and community.”

Mrs. Alade reflected on the profound influence Mama Wulemotu had on her children, emphasizing the admirable upbringing and strong moral foundation she provided to Comrade Babalola, which shaped him into the exemplary leader he is today. She noted that it is in times like these that Comrade Babalola will need the comforting presence of God to help him through the memories of both the joyful and challenging times they shared. Those cherished moments, from the tough days when Mama went to great lengths to support her children, to the recent memories with her, will surely continue to resonate in his heart. “Only God,” Mrs. Alade said, “can wipe away such tears and provide the strength needed to endure this heavy loss.”

The statement also acknowledged the particularly close bond between Comrade Babalola and his mother, one that deepened even more after the passing of his late father, a passionate fan of the Ibadan-based Shooting Stars Sports Club. Babalola’s father was a constant presence in the stands, cheering his team until his last days, and Mama Wulemotu took on an even greater role in her son’s life after his departure.

“Mama Wulemotu’s passing has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew and loved her,” the statement added.

“However, in the Yoruba tradition, a caring mother’s spirit does not rest in the grave; instead, her essence remains, guiding, guarding, and providing for her children from beyond. In this belief, we encourage Comrade Babalola to find solace, knowing that his mother’s loving spirit continues to watch over him.”

The GDJAN Secretary concluded by offering prayers for Mama Wulemotu’s peaceful repose and seeking God’s grace for Comrade Babalola and his siblings during this challenging time.

The lawmaker representing Ibadan North/West/Ibadan South/West Federal Constituency of Oyo state at the House of representatives, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, has commenced the installation of 100 solar-powered street lights across strategic locations within his constituency. 

 

The installation, according to the Special Adviser, Media and Public Affairs to the two term PDP lawmaker, Tolu Mustapha, is part of the Odidiomo Grassroot Development Initiative which is aimed at enhancing infrastructure and improving the quality of life for residents in the affected areas.

 

The solar street lights, which are being installed in key areas, such as Anfani, Dugbe, Agbeni, Odo-Ona, and Jericho, DSS, Museum Road, among other strategic locations is part of Hon. Olajide’s ongoing efforts to fulfill his promises to his constituents by facilitating projects that directly address the community’s needs, particularly in the areas of security and infrastructure development.

 

Speaking further, Mustapha said Hon. Olajide, has always expressed his unwavering commitment to the sustainable development of his constituency, emphasizing the importance of renewable energy solutions in addressing the power and security challenges faced by many communities.

 

“This commitment represents a significant step toward making our environment safer and more conducive for our people,” said Mustapha.

Olubadan Admonishes Nigerians To Have Fear of God

Nigerians irrespective of their religion, tribe, culture and tradition had been called upon to put God first in their daily activities.

God is love and if you love Him you will fear Him and obey His commandments which basically stated that you should love God and your fellow human beings.

The appeal was contained in the press release issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Olubadan of Ibadanland, Comrade Solomon Olugbemiga Ayoade immediately after year 2024 Adult Harvest celebration at the Cathedral of St. Peter Aremo, Ibadan where the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin I where he was invited as the royal father of the day.

Speaking through the palace chaplain, Pastor Adediji Olusoji, Olubadan admonished all religious leaders, political leaders, traditional rulers, community leaders as well as their followers to know that they are accountable to God and that one day, they will give account of their stewardship to their creator.

Earlier in his welcome address, the provost of the Cathedral of St. Peter, Aremo, Ibadan, Very Rev’d Samuel Kayode Olawoyin appreciated Kabiyesi for honouring the invitation as the royal father of the day and support given to make the harvest celebration a huge success.

Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide has passionately appealed to Nigerians to wholeheartedly embrace religious tolerance, emphasizing its critical role in fostering harmony and understanding among the country’s diverse religious communities.

Hon. Olajide made the appeal during the 35th anniversary celebration of (AF-NI-MO-NA), an initiative of Muslims in Light Organization (MILOR) of the Caring and Sharing Sufi Centre Nigeria held at scout camp, challenge Ibadan.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Olajide emphasized the importance of fostering understanding and respect among different religious groups in Nigeria.

He said, “Religious tolerance is not just a necessity but a vital component for peace and progress in our diverse nation, and urged attendees to embrace the values of coexistence, compassion and dialogue, which are fundamental to the teachings of various faiths.”

Olajide lauded the founder of the Caring and Sharing Sufi Centre, Master RTB Akinbile, for his decades long commitment to promoting peace and unity among Muslims, while stating that his unwavering leadership has been instrumental in guiding the center towards becoming a place of hope and an example of what can be achieved through mutual respect and collaboration.”
