The crisis rocking the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Southwest took a dramatic turn on Tuesday as Governor Seyi Makinde faction of the party announced former deputy governor of Oyo State, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja to contest against former Governor Ayo Fayose’s candidate, Chief Eddy Olafeso.
The Pacesetter News reliably gathered that Seyi Makinde faction of PDP at its meeting in Agodi Government House Ibadan nominated the Taofeek Arapaja as its candidate for the party’s zonal chairmanship candidate in the March 6, 2021 congress.
Meawhile, Fayose’s faction of PDP is also in a strategic meeting in Ibadan ahead of the much-anticipated zonal Congress.
