Rev. Sr. Veronica Moradehun Adepoju (SSMA) of Lokoja Diocese have recalled the fidelity of God as she celebrates 25 years Profession of Religious Vow.
Speaking at the Catholic Diocese of Oyo, St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, Ogbomoso on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee on Sunday, Sr. Veronica said the event was recollection of her “humble response” to God’s call.
“I am so happy for what the Lord has done for me because it is not by my own making. He deserves all the glory and adorations.
“This Silver Jubilee reminds me of God’s faithfulness to me and my humble response to Him.
“It is an opportunity for me to look back to the vows I made to Jesus to always stand out in the society which I have never regretted.
“It is indeed a moment to commit myself more to speaking to the world through my charism guided by God’s love so that people can see the greatness of His love to all,” she said.
In his homily, Most. Rev. Emmanuel Badejo commended Sr. Veronica for availing herself to God’s service as a sister to be used in His vineyard.
“As you have committed yourself to God in the last 25 years to live in total surrender of your whole being to Him according to the way of life of our institute, I pray to God to continue to bless you and grant to you the grace to continue to follow His footsteps,” he said.
“It is only when we fulfill the duty and responsibility given to us by God that we can take delight in our vocations … It is only when you are faithful to your call that you can be happy in life,” he said.
In her appreciation remark, Sr. Veronica specially thanked Bishop Emeritus of Oyo Diocese, Most. Rev. Julius Babatunde Adelakun, Most. Rev. Emmanuel Badejo, her formators, all the Sisters of St. Michael the Archangel and most importantly her treasured mother and siblings.
