Police raise alarm over rising suicide cases in Oyo, 2 teenagers involved

The Oyo State Police Command on Wednesday raised the alarm over rising suicide cases in the State.

 

The Commissioner of Police, CP Williams Adebowale at an interactive session with the media said two teenagers were amongst the deceased of the unfortunate incident in the last three months.

 

Adebowale who was flanked by the top officers of the Command, regretted that such developments were worrisome especially that the State recorded 10 cases within three months.

 

The number of teenagers left journalists in awe just as all the deceased were males.

 

Details of the victims, according to CP Adebowale were Basiru Ayomide (18years); Obed Masoyi (28years); Oladimeji John; Alawode Oluyemi Idowu (50years); Adebayo Israel (60years); Sikiru Rafiu; Baba Mariam; Osasenage Osamade (16years); Peter John and Abiodun Abdulraheem (28years).

 

Further breakdown showed that three of them died in June; two people in July while three people and two other people died in August and September respectively.
